Designing and Managing the Biggest Islamic Bank Card-Based Program
Positioned as the biggest Islamic bank, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) is a pioneer of Shari’a-compliant banking and Islamic finance, offering a range of diverse financial products and services in banking, real estate, trade finance, investment portfolios, and other sub-sectors.
The bank recognized the eminent need for a loyalty program to increase card usage and acquisition, reduce attrition, and accelerate the bank’s digital transformation strategy.
To help the bank achieve its objectives, we designed and launched “Baitak Rewards”, a rich and attractive program that rewards customers upon purchase from any merchant and after every engagement with the bank. Our solution was designed as a points-based reward system, which enables customers to directly pay with their points at merchants, get access to a vast range of offers and gift cards, pay for flights, hotels, and car rentals, transfer points to friends and charities, and even exchange their points with other existing programs in the markets. Customers were also given a set of tailor-made experiences and premium offers to increase their brand loyalty. In only 9 months after its launch, the program overachieved on its key performance indicators and was awarded “Best use of payments in a Programme” in EMEA from the Global Incentive Awards Association.
